College exhibitor registration is now open for the Fall 2021 Probe Tour. Interested colleges and universities may register online and select from 68 in-person fairs throughout the state, three high school guidance counselor workshops, and one virtual fair.
The tour begins on September 12, 2021 in Macon, GA with a “New Rep Orientation” for college representatives who are new to the Probe tour, followed by a Kickoff Reception.
Vidalia High School will host the opening Probe Fair on Monday, September 13 at 1:30 PM.
Colleges can select an “all tour pass” covering all Probe events, or target their travel to regions of the state. The majority of Probe fairs charge a nominal $15 fee for colleges to participate.
“We are excited to return to in-person fairs this fall,” said Clint Hobbs, Probe’s executive director. “From conversations with our high school partners and participating colleges, everyone is looking forward to getting back in the field and building relationships.”
Probe is introducing “touchless” information sharing between prospective students and colleges. All college exhibitors will have an app on a mobile phone to scan QR codes from interested students.
Student registration for the fall tour will begin in mid-August 2021. There is no fee for students to register and a QR code may be printed, or brought to the local fair on a mobile phone.
“Our scheduling committee has worked diligently with local communities throughout the state to plan 68 individual fairs covering the entire state,” commented Hobbs.
The Probe tour offers a diverse preview of the many colleges and universities that exist across the country.
“Probe is the only college tour in the state to feature colleges of all sizes and missions. Prospective students can find the colleges that may have seen playing football on television alongside smaller, regional public and private colleges, that frankly for many students may be a better fit for their personal and career goals.”
The Probe fair runs through November 19.
