Previewing Week 4 | Probe Tour

Week four of the Probe Tour moves to West Georgia after a stop in Gwinnett County.

Week four of the Probe Tour begins Monday, October 4 with the Atlanta Counselor Workshop. The tour continues to Carrollton, Paulding, Cherokee, and Dade counties.

Week three saw over 2,300 students register to attend local fairs. Congratulations to Jill McGiboney, host of the Newton County Fair as 575 students registered to attend.

Announcements

Atlanta Counselor Workshop | Monday, October 4

Approximately 200 high school guidance counselors and school officials are registered to attend the Guidance Counselor Workshop on Monday, October 4 beginning at 9 am.

The workshop will be held at the Gas South District (formerly Infinite Energy Center). The facility charges a $5 fee to park so please bring cash.

Parking Directions | Paulding County Probe Fair | Tuesday, October 5

College representatives are asked to park behind Craton Athletic Center. For more information, download a PCHS School Map.

Lite refreshments will be available for college representatives.

Notes | Dalton Probe Fair | Friday, October 8

For social distancing purposes, the fair will be hosted outside. When arriving on campus, please follow the Dalton State College Event signs, directing you towards our Belltower/Quad area. Parking will be available in this area. 

Tables will be ready for set-up between 8am-9am, and our first schools will arrive at 9am. 

There will be a hospitably room with a light breakfast and beverages available.

–          The fair will be held in the Bandy Gymnasium on our campus. There will be signs directing you towards the gym, and parking will be available in this area. 

–          Tables will be ready for set-up between 8am-9am, and our first schools will arrive at 9am. 

–          There will be a hospitably room with a light breakfast and beverages available before the fair begins!

Virtual Probe Pairings Announced

Colleges that signed up to present during the Virtual Probe Fair on October 13 can find their assigned time slot by visiting www.strivescan/probe.

You’ll find your assigned date, the colleges that will be presenting during the session, and the order of your presentation.

A few notes:

  • College fair times are listed in Eastern Standard Time
  • Your total time commitment is approximately one hour. Plan to join the session 10 minutes prior to your start time.
  • Throughout the entire 45 minutes, students will be able to ask questions via Q&A.
  • All 6 institutions in the group will receive the StriveScan student data for all of the students who registered for your group’s session.
  • Sessions are hosted by StriveScan via Zoom Webinars (students will not be on camera).
  • You will receive an email with your link to join your session as a panelist a week prior to the program start.
  • Watch a short Presenter Training video at https://www.strivescan.com/virtual/6×6/ to ensure you feel prepared for the fair!

You will receive an email on or before October 7 that will include your Zoom webinar credentials for your assigned session.
